We arrived in Bozeman MT on 9-3-2024 and this was out base camp with the Motorhome until 9-13-2024 and did day trips exploring.
Today we hiked the College M Trail - 9-04-2024 It was challenging for sure but well worth it. When we were done we treated ourselves to the Bozeman Natual Hot Springs. Length: 1-3 milesDuration: 20 minutes to 1 hourDifficulty: difficult (depending on which trail you choose) Elevation Gain: 850 feet Activities: Hiking, trail runningCrowds: Very heavy traffic
AboutAt the mouth of Bridger Canyon is the landmark “M” created by Montana State University students in 1915. There are two routes to the M from the trailhead—one steep and direct, the other gradual and winding. To take the steep ascent, go right at the first junction; for an easier and longer climb, take a hard left. This trail is close to Bozeman and very, very popular. The views of the Gallatin Valley and the Story Hills are spectacular
Butte, MT - 9-07-2024 We did a relaxing day exploring Butte, Mt. we were able to visit some of the old mines and even drove close enough to get a picture of Our Lady Of The Rockies. Had a great lunch and even won a few bucks at the smallest casino.
Yellowstone Day 1 - 9-08-2024 What a fascinating day we had. We entered the park from The North entrance and mapped out which way we wanted to go. I have to say I am getting better at navigating with a map(sometimes). We made it to Old Faithful and somehow found a parking spot very close and only waiting about 30 minutes before the eruption. Absolutely amazing. We tried to capture the beauty of it all in pictures to share a glimpse with you all.
Fairy Lake 9-9-2024 - We went for a 4 mile hike around Fairy Lake in Bozeman, MT today - What a crystal clear lake at 7556 Feet above sea level - The hike was pretty easy and the views were very nice.
Glacier National Park Day - 9-11-2024 - We arrived in Glacier Bay and the weather was not the best, so we decided to make sure we did the Road to the sun, went over Logan's pass and the sign was out road closing at 9PM due to incoming weather. The pictures do not do the park justice. The views are amazing, the hiking is awesome. We ended up doing 3 different Hikes in the park today totaling 10 miles and the elevation hikes are crazy out here. We are getting use to hiking and are truly blessed to be doing this trip together.
