Kansas City, KS August 2024

WIKI: "Kansas City (abbreviated as KCK) is the third-most populous city in the U.S. state of Kansas and the county seat of Wyandotte County. It is an inner suburb of the older and more populous Kansas City, Missouri, after which it is named. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 156,607, making it one of four principal cities in the Kansas City metropolitan area. It is situated at Kaw Point, the junction of the Missouri and Kansas rivers. It is part of a consolidated city-county government known as the "Unified Government". It is the location of the University of Kansas Medical Center and Kansas City Kansas Community College."
We arrived at our very nice campsite in Kansas City, KS for 5 days.
Well, when we found out that there was an Oz Museum you know we were going to visit it even if it was a two-hour drive. Jim was like a little kid in a candy store (if you know Jimmy, you know he loves watching the Wizard of Oz). The memorabilia were fascinating to look at and reading about the facts of making this film was so informative. If you were wondering yes, we did watch the movie again when we returned to the motorhome.
Burr Oak Woods Conservation Park was a fantastic hike. There were so many different routes to choose from we ended up doing the Wildlife Habitat Trail and the Hickory Grove Trail. Jim and I have come a long way on our journey to get fit and healthy. I absolutely love taking hikes together.
